Actress Choo Ja Hyun has been busy and happy in 2017 by appearing on the ‘2017 Hope TV SBS’ show. She earned the nickname ‘Star of the continent’, ‘The most envied couple’, and the other nicknames with her partner.
In a meeting with the production team, Choo Ja Hyun said, “When I am loved by many people right now, I think it can help many people by doing good things, even though I am busy in Africa. My husband Woo Hyo Kwang often volunteers so he supports me”, she expressed her determination.
Choo Ja Hyun visited the Chadian Republic located in the middle of the African continent. Chad has an arid natural environment and is one of the poorest countries in the world due to its slow economic growth.
She visited the Mani area, which is about two hours’ drive from the Chadian capital, she saw for herself how bad it was in Chad with only one hospital and one doctor in a city with a population of 100,000.
Choo Ja Hyun met children who need help like Aiwa (6 years old) her head swells for six years without knowing the cause and Ali (3 years) who cannot walk because of hunger. She tried to give help and warmth to the children, “If we meet a little faster … Thinking like this will come a lot. Even during the interview, they do not know if they are sick and do not know if their child is sick”, she said feeling saddened by the heartbreaking reality felt by the Chadian people.
Choo Ja Hyun’s passion for sharing and caring for each other continued even after she returned to Korea. During a live talk show about volunteering in Africa with MC Park Kyung Lim, she said, “I think it will be too late to do it all the time. Please help others from now”, she said sincerely encouraging the audience to share.
Choo Ja Hyun’s episode of volunteering in Africa will be broadcasted live for two days via ‘2017 SBS’s Hope TV’ on November 17 and 18.
