Choo Ja Hyun visited the Chadian Republic located in the middle of the African continent. Chad has an arid natural environment and is one of the poorest countries in the world due to its slow economic growth.

She visited the Mani area, which is about two hours’ drive from the Chadian capital, she saw for herself how bad it was in Chad with only one hospital and one doctor in a city with a population of 100,000.

Choo Ja Hyun met children who need help like Aiwa (6 years old) her head swells for six years without knowing the cause and Ali (3 years) who cannot walk because of hunger. She tried to give help and warmth to the children, “If we meet a little faster … Thinking like this will come a lot. Even during the interview, they do not know if they are sick and do not know if their child is sick”, she said feeling saddened by the heartbreaking reality felt by the Chadian people.
