Yoon Kyung Sang’s ‘Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People’: “My First Main Role… I’m Very Nervous”
Recently, MBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama announced their production on January 25th.
Yoon Kyung Sang’s, the drama’s main actor, said, “I’m very worried, but the seniors and director told me to turn my worry into hope.”
Regarding his first time in becoming a main character of a drama, Yoon Kyung Sang said, “I’m actually really really nervous to be the main character of a 30 episodes-long drama.”
He also added, “When I read the script, I was concerned as how to portray the role of Hong Gil Dong. However, the director told me that Gil Dong would slowly develop his character. I could show myself not as Yoon Kyun Sang, the actor, but someone who’s also developing. I got relieved after hearing his words. Now I’m waiting for this drama with a heart full of hope.”
‘Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People’ is made based on the novel ‘Honggildongjeon’ by Heo Gyun. The story revolves around Hong Gil Dong and is set during the reign of Yeon Sangun in 1500. This drama will start airing today, January 30th, on 22.00 PM KST.
