BTS Felt Honored Performing at AMA and Being Able to Show Korean Music
BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J.Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) became the first K-Pop group to perform at the American Music Awards (AMAs) in 2017.
BTS performed the title song ‘DNA’ in ‘LOVE YOURSELF: Her’ album at ‘2017 AMAs’ held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California on the 19th. They received an explosive reaction.
On that day, AMA placed BTS in the front row of the awards ceremony and gave special treatment to enhance the stage awards just before the performance of Diana Ross, the winner of the Distinguished Achievement Award.
The Chainsmokers, a world-class DJ duo, also known as the ‘international superstar’, introduced BTS and once again proved the global presence of BTS.
“I do not think it’s possible to come to the American Music Awards after the Billboard Music Awards in May, but it’s like a dream”, said BTS who finished the stage. Then he also added, “We think it’s a great honor to bring Korean music in this opportunity.”
In addition, they revealed, “It’s meaningful to be able to showcase the stage to fans around the world and lots of new people. Many people came to sing along and support us, so we are very happy to be onstage, and we are very happy to complete the show.”
On the other hand, BTS went to America for ‘2017 AMAs’ and plan to return to Korea after performing the remaining schedule.
