Kyu Hyun Speaks Up about Fire Incident in Taiwan
Super Junior’s member Kyu Hyun finally speaks up about what actually happened during the fire incident in the hotel that he stayed in while he was in Taiwan.
On February 25, through his personal Twitter account, Kyu Hyun wrote, “There has been a misunderstanding about the incident in Taiwan.”
“At that time, I was preparing the show with my manager and staff inside my room, so we missed the evacuation time. After hearing that the fire has been extinguished, my manager went down using the stairs, while several other staffs and I stayed in the room because we did not want to breathe the smoke.”
He added, “Other than the staffs who stayed with me, everyone obeyed the hotel’s instruction to get out of the hotel for 3 hours. It seems that it was my fault for underestimating the incident and kept working inside my room. After the show, I did not think this would be a big issue. Good night!”
During the evacuation time, Kyu Hyun’s manager uploaded a picture of the fire incident, which raged Super Junior fans who criticized him for leaving Kyu Hyun alone in the room. Due to severe criticism, the manager even shut down his Instagram account.
