‘Park Bo Gum Magic’ vs ‘Lee Dong Wook and Gong Yoo Magic’
The magic of actors could be proved by the number of fans that come to their fan meetings.
On March 11, Park Bo Gum had his last fan meeting stop in Korea. Park Bo Gum’s ‘2016-2017 Asia Tour Fan Meeting’ lasted from December to March. The actor had greeted around 30.000 fans in 8 cities, starting from Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore. In Taiwan, Thailand, and Singapore, Park Bo Gum’s sunbae from the same agency, Song Joong Ki of ‘Descendants of the Sun’, came as special guest.
Meanwhile, Lee Dong Wook, the Grim Reaper from ‘Goblin’ has just started his own Asia tour fan meeting on March 12. It was reported that the actor is actively involved in the planning and directing process of his fan meeting. The first stop for ‘2017 Asia Tour For My Dear’ was held in Seoul, with around 1500 fans in attendance. The next stops for the tour are Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, and Japan.
Just like Park Bo Gum’s fan meeting, Lee Dong Wook’s fan meeting also had several special guests, such as SISTAR Soyou, Gagman Jo Se Ho, and his ‘Goblin’ co-star Gong Yoo.
Gong Yoo himself will start his fan meeting next month. Gong Yoo will meet his fans in Shin Chuang Gymnasium, Taiwan, on April 29, and Hong Kong Asia Expo, Hong Kong, on May 6. It has been Gong Yoo’s long time wish to have his first international fan meeting in Taiwan and Hong Kong. This wish is not without reason. His movie, ‘Train to Busan’, was the #1 box office in Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan last year. As the ‘Goblin’ syndrome arise, Gong Yoo became the first most searched person in Weibo, Chinese biggest social networking site. In addition, recently, Gong Yoo was also appointed as one of 4 Great Hallyu Kings in Taiwan.
