New Historical Dramas Are Coming! Which One Will Follow the Success of ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’?
Now there are a lot of still cuts of the latest colossal drama that makes the hearts of the fans become impatient. The appearance of top Hallyu stars and great production teams are already making the hearts of the fans to feel nervous. Which one of the upcoming historical dramas that can follow the footsteps of Park Bo Gum and Kim Yoo Jung in KBS2 drama ‘Moonlight Drawn by Clouds’? The audience is eager to find out!
The first colossal drama that will greet the audience is a replacement for MBC’s ‘Radiant Office’, ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ which will be premiered on May 10. The drama tells the story of a Crown Prince’s struggle to defend his people and who has to fight with a secret group over the water supplies in the Joseon Period. Yoo Seung Ho plays the main role of Crown Prince Lee Sun, and the female lead is played by Kim So Hyun, a girl who wants to take a revenge on the Crown Prince for the death of her father.
Then there is ‘Whisper’ replacement drama, SBS’ pre-production drama ‘My Sassy Girl’.
This drama tells the sweet love story between the enchanting Crown Prince Gyun Woo (Joo Won) with a vivacious princess named Princess Hyemyung (Oh Yeon Seo). This is not an ordinary love story but interspersed with interesting realistic aspects.
Lastly, there is MBC’s pre-production drama, ‘King Loves’, which must have been stealing the public’s curiosity already. ‘King Loves’ is adapted from Kim Yi Ryung’s novel. This drama is a colossal mellow drama with a fictional background in Goryeo era, telling the story of love and greed.
Im Si Wan plays as Crown Prince Wang Won, who is full of charms and ambitions. Hong Jong Hyun, a successful antagonist in SBS ‘Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo’, will play as Wang Rin who has a strong character and love. SNSD’s Yoona will play as Eun Sa. It is scheduled to air in July.
