TWICE Held An Exclusive Concert in Singapore
On April 29, TWICE held an exclusive concert ‘TWICE 1st Tour TWICELAND – The Opening in Singapore’ at The Star Theatre, The Star Performing Arts Centre, Singapore.
TWICE, which has set a new record in K-pop industry is crowned to be ‘the most popular group in the middle of the century’, attracting a lot of attention with their upcoming overseas concerts and the first concert which was held in Singapore. More than 5000 seats were sold out. Not only in the concert hall, dozens of people gathered in the place visited by TWICE, which proved the group’s popularity in the nation.
For about 3 hours, TWICE not only performed their popular songs such as ‘Like OOH AHH’, ‘CHEER UP’, ‘TT’, and ‘KNOCK KNOCK’, but also individual performances and songs from their albums that made the fans became even more enthusiastic. The audience also sang along with the group even though the song performed was not the main song from TWICE. The fans also gave a surprise in the form of photos and a slogan which touched the TWICE members.
Ji Hyo, who has just recovered from a knee injury, took part in the concert with the other members after the concert in Thailand. JYP Entertainment said, “Jihyo is following this event because she wants to be with her fans in Singapore for the first time.”
TWICE successfully completed their first overseas concert in Thailand and Singapore. On December 8th, TWICE also proved their status as a “top-notch idol” with 4,000 audiences in their concert in Thailand.
Currently, TWICE is preparing for the release of their new album in May.
