Witnessing Kim So Hyun’s Growth in Historical Dramas, From ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’ until ‘Ruler’
‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ starts airing tonight. In this drama, Kim So Hyun plays as Han Ga Eun, a girl from a well-respected family in Joseon.
Kim So Hyun is not a child actress anymore, and she would be starring in a historical drama for the first time ever since she hit her adult years.
As a child actress, Kim So Hyun appeared in historical dramas several times, including in ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’.
In that drama, Kim So Hyun did something evil in order to gain the love of Lee Hwon. Kim So Hyun showed a strong and impressive acting as someone who has never been in love yet obsessed with the idea of it.
Last year in ‘Goblin’, she appeared as Kim Shin’s sister, Kim Sun. Though her character did not appear in many scenes, her acting as the queen and wife of Kim Min Jae who has a tragic death impressed many viewers.
This time, Kim So Hyun is ready to greet her fans in another historical appearance with ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’. “I feel happy and thankful to be able to take part in ‘Ruler’. I know I will lack in a lot of things, but I will keep trying my best.”
Will her acting in this historical drama against Yoo Seung Ho brings ‘Ruler’ to success? What do you think?
