‘Deserving of the Name’ Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong’s First Filming
Continuing ‘Secret Forest’, a new Saturday-Sunday drama from tvN which will air in August, ‘Deserving of the Name’, on June 16, started the first full shooting and also started reading the script. ‘Deserving of the Name’ is a medical drama with Joseon’s most famous oriental medical practitioner, Heo Im (Kim Nam Gil), and Yeon Gyung (Kim Ah Joong), a modern medicine therapist who uses a scalpel, aged over 400 years old.
The released photos show scenes of Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong unusual encounters. The scene contains a scene where the 21st-century Joseon delegate meets Chief Thoracic Surgeon Heo Im and Choi Yeon Kyung. In the pictures, Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong are shown with a dramatic visual that awaken their chemistry. He experiences a timeslip and is sent into the 21st century, and he is overwhelmed by his empty expressions and cold eyes in the most absurd situations. This creates a mysterious atmosphere in an unusual and hopeful encounter within the picture.
‘Deserving of the Name”s production party said, “The synergy of Kim Nam Gil and Kim Ah Joong has raised expectations. I want to ask a lot of anticipation for the new story of the Joseon era medical action”.
On the other hand, ‘Deserving of the Name’ is a new story that adds the artist’s imagination to the true personality of the person who is called the best acupuncture in Korea. This will be an interesting story going back and forth between the past and the present through the encounter of a man and a woman with very different backgrounds. Saturday and Sunday at 21:00, continuing the drama ‘Secret Forest’, this drama will premiere in August on tvN.
