Not Only Through News and Reality Shows, JTBC’s Dramas Are Also Popular
For the first time, the country has been overwhelmed in the last 6 years. JTBC launched its dramas.
On August 5th, JTBC’s Friday-Saturday drama ‘Woman of Dignity’ episode 16 for the first time received the highest rating of 10.0%. This is the highest drama rating ever on JTBC after the drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ aired earlier this year earned a rating of 9.6%.
In February, JTBC aired a drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ starring Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik. Writer Baek Min Kyeong said, “This drama was written to save JTBC” said the author who has a strong planning for the drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’. The airing date for the drama is a bit late to target a younger audience, it aired at 11 PM. Nevertheless, the drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ received high ratings from JTBC viewers and the drama became a hot topic among the public.
The drama ‘Man to Man’ which aired after the drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ ended up not getting a high rating but still stable with a 4% rating. After the drama, the drama ‘Woman of Dignity’ replaced it with a bad rating of 2%, but the drama was re-watched and made it a hot topic. The re-broadcast of the drama has been watched more than 50 million times in the first two months of broadcasting and has topped the drama category. JTBC has taken a few places of power for the drama category with the drama ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ and was replaced by the drama ‘Woman of Dignity’. 100% performance in the drama ‘Man to Man’, ‘Woman of Dignity’ produces a greater meaning.
