Wednesday’s Episode of ‘Ruler’ was Full of Yoo Seung Ho’s Cry
In the Wednesday-Thursday drama of MBC ‘Ruler’ that was aired on Wednesday night, Crown Prince Lee Sun (Yoo Seung Ho) was faced with a tragic fate for having to execute Han Kyu Ho, Han Ga Eun’s father (Kim So Hyun).
Han Kyu Ho was arrested for having investigated the Joseon water channel by the orders of the Crown Prince, which made Pyunsohee organization got angry and threatened to kill the Crown Prince if the investigation is continued. Pyunsohee also demanded that Han Kyu Ho be beheaded. Lee Sun sobbed because someone else had to die despite having no faults, but the King chose to kill Han Kyu Ho to save Crown Prince for the sake of Joseon people’s better future.
Crown Prince kept pleading to his father for Han Kyu Ho to be rescued, but the King insisted that Han Kyu Ho must die for the sake of justice, which would help the Crown Prince’s path in the future. Lee Sun would not accept the sacrifice. Unfortunately, if the Crown Prince did not kill Han Kyu Ho directly, the organization threatened to kill the people around the Crown Prince one by one. Crown Prince Sun, who could not do anything, could only weep in his room.
“Why did you join them? Why don’t you want to investigate the water way? What is the reason?!” Said Lee Sun, full of anger. Holding Lee Sun’s face, the King said, “You must be strong!”. He also added, “How will you become a King if you continue to behave like this?”. Unable to accept it, Lee Sun continued to blame the King as well as his own destiny. He continued to shout with frustration, until finally, he fell unconscious.
The crooked cry of the Crown Prince is the main point in this episode. Yoo Seung Ho’s heartbreaking emotions while portraying the helpless Prince Lee Sun who could not stop the deaths of the people around him was very well displayed. The audience is looking forward for Yoo Seung Ho’s appearance in the next episodes.
