Bracing for Another MBC’s Heyday with ‘Ruler’, ‘Bad Thief, Good Thief’, and ‘Lookout’
MBC is starting to grab the attention of drama TV viewers with their refreshing new dramas.
On May 22nd, MBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘Lookout’, started its first episode. ‘Lookout’ tells the story of a bunch of people who lost their loved ones for crime and captured the criminals in their own way. The drama is played by Lee Si Young, Kim Young Gwang, Kim Tae Ho, Kim Seul Gi, Key, and many more. In the first episode alone, the drama has received a positive reaction from the audience by displaying stories of high officials corruption, mysterious characters, and tragic events.
On May 10th, the drama ‘Ruler: Master of the Mask’ was broadcasted and managed to occupy the first position of Wednesday-Thursday drama slot. ‘Ruler’ tells the story of a Crown Prince of Joseon who has to fight against a Bureau of Water Supply to maintain his power.
‘Ruler’ itself has become a hot topic even before airing its premiere episode, as the drama is starring Yoo Seung Ho and Kim So Hyun. The story about a Crown Prince who has to live in a mask, exchanging his life with a common people with same name, love story between the Crown Prince and a noble girl, add to the excitement of this drama. Moreover, the political and romance elements are presented so well that it makes the viewers could really enjoy the drama.
MBC’s latest weekend drama ‘Bad Thief, Good Thief’ aired its first episode on May 13th, presenting a story full of moral messages. The independence activists of Japanese supporters who steal to help their families cause public anger. In the drama, there is also a touching story of affection between parents and children.
