Ministry of Defense, “The Drones in Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s Wedding Is An Illegal Act”

It has been confirmed that the drones belonging to one of the Chinese media that recorded the wedding of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo is illegal.

On the 1st, Ministry of Defense spokesman said, “Drones run by one of the Chinese media at Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s wedding ceremonies are definitely illegal acts.” He also added, “The Shilla Hotel is a no-fly zone A, so people can not run drones there.”

Due to a confrontation between North and South Korea, most areas of Seoul are not allowed to fly drones. Particularly for areas with large buildings with many people, it is not only considered a privacy violation but can cause national security problems.

The chinese media launching the drone is ‘I feng.com’. The media broadcast the wedding ceremonies of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo in Weibo through drones flown at Shilla Hotel, Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul performed illegal action. It was reported that there were 2 ~ 3 drones flying in that location. They also did not give advance notice to Hotel Shilla nor the agency.

Earlier it was reported that one of the Chinese portals offered 15 billion won to broadcast the wedding. However, the offer was rejected by Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo even without hearing the amount of money offered.

The result of the decision led to the emergence of this drone event. Most of the bride and groom’s invited guests are people who are related to the entertainment world. China’s top star Zhang Zi Yi was also present at the wedding. This action is illegal, not because they are recording big events of stars but also because it is used for commercial purposes.

During the wedding ceremonies of Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, many Hallyu stars were present, such as Yoo Ah In, Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Hee Sun, Jeon In Hwa, Yoo Dong Geun, Hwang Jung Min, Lee Mi Yeon, Choi Ji Woo, Yoo Jae Suk, Ha Ha, Ji Suk Jin, and others.
