Ji Chang Wook and Lee Yo Won’s Faces to Dominate Chungmuro
This February, the Chungmuro (Korean film industry) will be filled with happy faces.
After 9 years of debut as an actor, Ji Chang Wook will have his first movie, ‘Fabricated City’ aired in theaters. Likewise, after 4 years, Lee Yo Won will also be back in the wide screen with a new movie, ‘Yes, Family’. Seeing actors who are rarely seen in Chungmuro dominating the theater screens is surely pleasing, both for the fans and the actors themselves..
But of course the pleasure of having the two rare actors of Chungmuro must be completed with a box office achievement for both movies. ‘Fabricated City’ will be released tomorrow, on February 9, while ‘Yes, Family’ will be released on February 15.
The two movies will compete with ‘Single Lady’, starring Lee Byung Hun, Gong Hyo Jin and In So Hee, ‘Lucid Dream’, starring the singer Seol Kyung Goo and Park Yoo Chun, and ‘Retrial’, a perfect collaboration between Jung Woo and Kang Haneul. February is not a peak season, but this month has quite a strong line up of released movies.
Among the February movie competitors, ‘Fabricated City’ appears as a refreshing one.
As the movie will be Ji Chang Wook’s debut movie, a lot of viewers are anticipating it. This movie is adapted from the director’s idea to combine the world of virtual game and the real world.
Meanwhile, Lee Yo Won’s movie ‘Yes, Family’ is a family movie about three siblings who pretend not to know each other, and then the fourth sibling suddenly appears. Playing a mom of three, this movie is Lee Yo Won’s choosen project after 4 years of hiatus from Chungmuro.
