Stars Who Become Successful Again After Military Service
Military service is the heaviest task that the male celebrities need to undergo. It is because they need to go on hiatus for two years. Song Joong Ki and Yoo Seung Ho are two of the K-pop stars who are able to retain their success again after being gone for two years. However, regaining their popularity is not an easy task. It needs time.
Song Joong Ki went to finish his military duty in 2013 after gained a success through the drama, ‘The Innocent Man’, and the movie, ‘A Werewolf Boy’. After he finished his military duty, he appeared in ‘Descendant of the Sun’ and his popularity skyrocketed.
Yoo Seung Ho is a young actor who went to the military at a relatively young age and successfully broke the “child actor” image that was embedded into him. He secretly had signed up for military service right after he played in the drama ‘I Miss You’ which surprised his fans. After he has finished his duty, he is back through the movie ‘The Magician’. He scored a high rating through the drama ‘Remember’ and got the ‘Excellent Actor’ award in 2016 SBS Drama Awards.
Now they are trying to find a way so they won’t go totally on hiatus, by finishing the filming for their CF, movie, drama, music, and other things before they go to finish their duty. Then they will release them one by one while they are doing their duty in the military.
Actor Song Joong Ki, Hyun Bin, and the others had finished various CF filming, Kim Jae Joong also released his newest album while he is in the military. He also got the Asian Popularity Award in ‘Te 31st Golden Disc Awards’ last January.
