‘Gong Yoo Special’ A Look Back at Gong Yoo’s Movie and Drama Part. 2 – Drama ‘Big’
‘Big’ is Gong Yoo’s comeback drama after finishing his military duty. It is a fantasy romantic comedy drama that was broadcasted on KBS 2TV in 2012. Gong Yoo collaborates with Lee Min Jung, Suzy, Shin Won Ho, and other stars in this drama.
‘Big’ tells the story between Kang Gyung Joon (Shin Won Ho), an 18 years old man who is trapped in Seo Yoon Jae (Gong Yoo)’s body, a 30 years old doctor, because of an accident that involves the two. Meanwhile, Gil Da Ran (Lee Min Jung) is the Seo Yoon Jae’s fiancee and Kang Gyung Joon’s teacher.
In this drama, Gong Yoo gets two different characters. The first character is Seo Yoon Jae, a successful, wise, and mature doctor. The second character is Kang Gyun Joon, the carefree and hard-to-handle young man who is trapped in his body. Gong Yoo successfully delivers the two characters really well.
He does not only showcase his acting skill in this drama, but he also participates in one of the soundtracks, ‘Because It’s You’.
