American Press Predict Song Joong Ki to be Invited in This Year’s Cannes Film Festival with ‘Battleship Island’
Will Song Joong Ki attend this year’s Cannes Film Festival?
On March 27, The Inquisitr (an American-based media company) predicted that Song Joong Ki’s upcoming movie ‘Battleship Island’ (directed by Ryoo Seung Wan) might have the chance to be invited to the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May.
According to The Inquisitr, “Song Joong Ki could turn everything into gold. This handsome Hallyu star has a huge chance to be invited in this year’s Cannes Film Festival due to his performance.”
After succeeding with his comeback drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ last year, Song Joong Ki was offered to play as one of the main characters in ‘Battleship Island’.
The movie itself is about the struggle of Korean forced labors who risked their life trying to escape Hashima Island, Japan, and is set to have its official Korean release this summer.
Meanwhile, the 70th Cannes Film Festival will be held in May 17-28 in France.
