After ‘Chief Kim’, It’s Now Time for ‘Queen of Mystery’
On April 5, KBS premiered its new Wednesday-Thursday drama, ‘Queen of Mystery’. The main character, Yoo Seol Ok (Choi Kang Hee), is an ordinary housewife who has a knack to catch criminals. She starts befriending a police named Hong Joon O and together, they work to solve crime cases that happen in their area.
Yoo Seol Ok’s marriage life is messed up. Seol Ok lies to her mother in law and runs away from home. After some time, she befriends Hoong Jon O. Seol Ok and Joon O are starting to investigate a drugs case disguising as locker theft when the story starts. Meanwhile, Ha Wan Seung (Kwon Sang Woo) is the best drugs case detective/investigator. After a slippery beginning, the three of them work together to solve a drugs case involving an organization of gangsters.
‘Queen of Mystery’ already scored 11,5% rating for its first episode, seizing the first place among Wednesday – Thursday drama slot, just like its predecessor, ‘Chief Kim’. In ‘Chief Kim’, Kim Sung Ryong who works at TQ Group tries to reveal a corruption scandal in the company. ‘Chief Kim’ was highly successful as in each of its episode, Nam Gung Min and other casts managed to entertain the drama’s audience.
Will Yoo Seol Ok and ‘Queen of Mystery’ be able to follow the path of success that was previously paved by Kim Sung Ryong with ‘Chief Kim’?
